Abbreviations and Acronyms

Some are more obvious that others :-)

• GF = Ground Frame (manual points)
• HABD = Hot Axle Box Detector
• LC = Level Crossing (optionally with suffix):
          AHB = Automatic Half Barrier
          AHBC-X = AHB with reverse direction capability
          ABCL = Automatic Barrier Crossing, Locally Monitored
          FP = Footpath
          R/G = minature Red/Green warning lights
          R/G-X = Red/Green lights with reverse direction support
          UWC = User Worked Crossing
• Jn = Junction
• SB = Signal Box
• Station suffixes:
          L/End = London End
          C/End = Country End
